When is the first A339 due and have names, registrations and configurations been decided yet?

I believe orders have been deferred so we can expect them in 2022. I also have some very cool names and registration suggestions.

Are the 339s going to have the camera’s on them like the 350s?

They should add them to the 789s too.

Wouldn't it be expensive to install them onto all the planes and connect them to the IFE.
We could see cameras when the 787s are refitted.

I think they are due to be refitted soon so it could be a possibility. I hope they upgrade the premium economy seats because they are really lacking on the 789s compared to other aircraft in the fleet.

I would have though that the PE seats are the best because they are vera v2 and they are 21 inches

The 747s and the 333s were also 21 inches but they also had adjustable headrests, had tray tables that weren’t flimsy and felt a lot less claustrophobic.

The biggest downside of the a350 is that PE is now 18 inches like British airways

They’ll need to take the cost of liposuction of the ticket prices because I don’t think they realise that people pay extra to have space.

I quite like the A330-300’s and the bar but maybe that’s just me.

If Virgin use some A339s for leisure, i think that they would put 280 seats in Economy, 42 in Premium and however many in Upper Class

I think there would be about 18 for upper class but it would much depend on whether they would have room for the 1-2-1 configuration or whether it would have to be a 1-1-1.

I totally agree and 18 seems like a moderate figure that also keeps it similar with what the current A332s have

Altogether 340 passengers looks like a great figure to help the A350s in peak times

Do you think economy would be 3-3-3 or 2-4-2?

Definitely 2-4-2, the A330 is not the widest aircraft

+1 from me!

Now my beloved 346s are gone, the 330 has the best bar, nice and roomy set up, away from the main cabin! Quite happily sat there working away on night flights many a time!!

Or enjoying a GreyGoose&Cran with friends on day flights ;-) ;-)

I thought the G-VEWR (Liberty Belle) registration was just a rumour from way back and would not be used, certainly not now, as Virgin has ceased operations at Newark Liberty Intl.
G-VNEO (First Lady) could be a possible option for the first A330-900 to enter the fleet, but no-one knows if this combination is being used either.

+1 from me. I love the 333s - however, I even liked them under the old UCDS set up - super stylish.

It is said that the first two A339s delivered would be MSN 2025 and MSN 2030 but this is not from an official source however.
