We have had our May flights cancelled by Virgin and I am wondering about a thread over on Flyertalk where at least one person was apparently able to use EC/UK261 in these circumstances with Virgin to get a replacement flight - at a time of their choosing without any increase in cost.
Our visits to Florida are normally twice a year in March and October (Octobers is already booked) so would like to use the cancelled flights for March 2022 under EC/UK261 rules.

I imagine Virgin would offer replacement flights at the currently higher price but the EC261 info. page does give 'at a later date' as an option with no additional costs.
