Retroactive use of reward voucher

Read on another forum that someone had managed to retroactively apply a reward voucher to a persisting reward flight. I’ve called Flying Club and told it’s not possible. I’ve got two vouchers, one I had at the time of booking and upgrading (it wasn’t mentioned to me on the phone all that I even had one) and another that I’ve just been issued. So would like to use the older one before it expires.
Has anyone else managed to do this? I had a browser through FC T&Cs and couldn’t see anything relevant.
