V-Flyer

I am looking to possibly travel from MAN to IAH later in the year. Checking fares the one from SIA is cheaper than the VS one and the flight is far quicker. I understand we would earn Flying Club points on this flight and Tier Points. My query is do we book this through SIA and they will credit the points or do we book through VS.

I don't think it will make any difference assuming you will be paying full fare (not with miles). Either through VS or SQ you will have the opportunity to enter your Flying Club number and therefore have miles automatically credited to your account. Even if not automatically credited you could use the 'claim missing miles' function when logging into your FC account.

The only time it can get a bit tricky with partner airline earnings is when the partner airline uses a different carrier to operate their service.
