V-Flyer

Due to fly tomorrow, tried to check on online, only to find the other half’s ESTA has expired! I’d thought it was valid until later in the year, but he had to renew his passport - I’d totally forgotten that meant the ESTA would also run out.

Anyone know the timeframe for approval? I’ve got confirmation if it pending, but am going to be a bit screwed it doesn’t come through before tomorrow morning….

I applied for a new ESTA on Sat 2nd Sept mid-afternoon and as usual my application was ‘authorisation pending’ (after receiving my new passport).

The email telling me my ESTA was approved was in my inbox when I woke up the following morning.

Update - authorisation dropped in about an hour ago. Phew. Double phew. Can’t believe I’d forgotten about new passport needing the new one.

Oh well. No harm done and a lesson learned.
