Seat selection - VH

We have a virgin holiday booked MAN to MCO on Tuesday 10th September 2024.
The flight itself becomes available for booking via Virgin Atlantic website this Saturday (14th Oct) which I thought meant that is when we would be able to log into our virgin holiday booking and select the seats we would like for our outbound flight.
However, I’ve just logged into the booking to make sure everything’s there and it’s saying I can only book my seats from 8th November ? :(
Is it giving us this date because of our inbound flight and we now have to wait until inbound date is available before being allowed to pre select for outbound?
