China Eastern Code share

With the announcement that VS will be code sharing with CE do we think that there will be a possibility of the VS250/1 being changed to CE flights instead and VS being cancelled?

I don’t see anything changing as once CE start codesharing on the VS flight (that part of this is still pending approval) , that gives CE access to LHR without needing any more bilateral agreements being in place.

CE already fly PVG>LGW 4 times a week.

Speaking of China Eastern, word on the street is that they’re launching MAN-PVG this summer. Given the SkyTeam connection and the timings into MAN connecting with some of the VS flights to/from the US, it wouldn’t surprise me if we see a codeshare there: -

VS needs to show more commitment to the operation at MAN. Yes, the past few years have been existentially trying, but the world moves on and bounces back pretty quickly and VS are taking their time in implementing the pre pandemic vision for a hub in the north.
