And yet they cancelled the planned and partially completed Clubhouse at MAN due to cost pressures. Another clear indication of their priorities.

What I don’t get is they had a Clubhouse in LAX T2. Moved temporarily for DL terminal transformation. Now they are stopping at TBIT. Does the A350 not fit at T2 am I missing something? Don’t get me started on the MAN Clubhouse.

This is excellent news! LAX and MAN are quite different issues I think. LAX is very premium heavy and deserves a flagship lounge. The old clubhouse was brilliant (albeit a tad small). The amount of natural light in there was insane for an airport.
Cannot wait to ditch the Star Alliance lounge!

You miss the point. VS saw value in MAN, committed to it as part of their strategy with more routes promised, and then ditched it. I’m not convinced by claims that premium heavy flights are only viable from LHR rather than ‘up north’, especially as the premium market pivots to leisure.

Apparently it’s the old Etihad Airways space next to the Star Alliance lounge. So a bigger space and with the LA Olympics coming up that’s good timing. The current VS CEO made the announcement of a MAN Clubhouse at the end of 2019 as part of a strategy for MAN then quietly scraped the idea in March of this year. Emirates don’t seem to have any problems filling multiple A380’s out of MAN and they have a lounge. So I think the current VS leadership don’t spend much time in MAN or understand the market.
