I read somewhere that KLM business class flyers can access Escape lounge, free of charge, in Manchester T2.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case?

Either the Escape or the 1903 lounge. Put MAN into this page for more details.

Thank you. It says same on the Manchester airport site for KLM and Lounge access.

Possibly a very stupid question, but what classes as an international flight?

"Lounge access for international first or business class holders."

For info we are flying to Munich via Amsterdam on KLM business.

Flying from Manchester to any country other than Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland is classed as international. Amsterdam and Munich are not U.K. cities.

Thank you. this of course is my understanding of International too.

The only thing it says it excludes is flights between USA and Caribbean.

Hoping next week we can then use both fast track and Escape Lounge pre flight.

For the USA market, flights between USA and the Caribbean are considered to be domestic not international.

I used it recently with a KLM business class ticket.

It was OK, but you wouldn't be missing much if you can't use it.

True, but not a new fan of the new T2 so much rather be tucked away somewhere looking out on to the runway!

Anyway, just got back from our trip to Munich flying MAN-AMS-MUC with KLM business (not the best use of points but direct flights for the concerts were crazy).

Anyhow, just to confirm we got fast track through T2 (although it was very quiet) and use of the Escape Lounge. Also lounges in Amsterdam (Crown 25 and 52) and in Munich. With Sky priority lanes in all of these.

Food on KLM also very good, with salmon, chives, cream cheese and apple on a Bellini for breakfast. Then Tuna sashimi with korean noodles for lunch! Can't go wrong....
