Returning member, using points and routes

Evenin gents.

Was a member here from about 2019 I think it was.
Have been unable to log in since about 2022 at a guess, I sent a few emails but could never get hold of anyone, so in the end I have re-joined with a new user ID.

Might be an idea to have a help section with a contact email as I was just using the ones I could find online which may well go into a black hole.

Anyway, onto the reason for my post.

I was booked LHR>PVG in October to use some points and comp voucher the flight has been binned as I am sure you are all aware!

My comp voucher runs out in March so I would like to use it.

Does anyone know what route (if any) Virgin fly from GLA or EDI from say Jan-March 2025?

I am struggling to find the info.

Cheers all.

Welcome back.

There’s nothing on VS metal that flies direct from EDI during those months ( and now nothing at all from GLA) but I was searching for some flights in feb in the sale and they are doing EDI - LHR with BA in club Europe followed by LHR - MCO in upper for a very decent price, all on one ticket.

Whether these can be booked with a voucher, I couldn’t say. I’m guessing a call would have to be made unfortunately

There are also some destinations available on delta metal.

Good luck in your search.

David

Cheers David. A few years ago someone used to post the trade updates which included all routes, is this still a thing?
I am guessing its either a flight to LHR or a drive to MAN then!

I think the Edinburgh flights to MCO are something like April to October, or were this year. They look to have been pretty busy although there was some award availability that popped up even at short notice. You just have to keep checking.

The benefits of missing out a shuttle (and relying on BA) or a drive to MAN are, in my opinion immense and hopefully when they get their fleet renewal finished, more Virgin flights will depart from Edinburgh

I always have a small hope that virgin might take over some of the daily Delta flights

Hoping for increased service from EDI too! Currently live c.30min from MAN but due to move to the Scottish lowlands soon. I have no desire to go to MCO but might look at a cruise or something.
