Hi all

Myself and wife have booked PE from Heathrow to Orlando at end of October 2024 using miles and money.

We always fly PE and have never travelled in Upper Class and are intrigued by the “bid for upgrade” on the Virgin Atlantic website

Can people who have had bids for upgrade from PE to Upper Class on Heathrow to Orlando route accepted advise
1. what is the lowest bid that has been accepted ?
2. What is chance of getting bids accepted for both of us ?
3. Would a bid be less likely to be accepted because we have bought tickets using miles and money ?

1. Impossible to say, the whole range of upgrades prices will have been accepted at some point in the past.

2. Are you on the same booking? If so, you'll either both get it or both not

3. No, if the option is there, you're as likely as anyone else

You have any more miles you could use? Quite a bit of availability at the end of October.

Just to reiterate what Matt said, it’s impossible to answer as we have no idea what everyone has bid for that flight.

Decide what you’re happy with and don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t happen. To give you a ballpark, I think £2200, £1200 & £500 are good-ish cash prices for the various cabins to Orlando as returns. So, I’d be looking at bidding around the £500pp marker.

Oem

I would only add to what has already y been said ,that there are a range of aircraft scheduled to operate the LHR - MCO route (2 flights a day) at the end of October.

If it is the A350 Leisure configuration, then the starting point is only 16 seats, so the chances of a successful bid for 2 seats would be extremely low. For example on the VS135 on October only two seats are left remaining.

Sorry to be the bearer of sad tidings
