I have the opportunity to fly to England next year on either an A330-900neo or an A350-1000. I've checked out both planes and it seems like the only difference between the two in upper class is the door on the A330-900neo. To those of you who have traveled upper class on these planes, which one would you choose and why?

Please note; aircraft swaps do happen with Virgin (but are normally stable 2-3 months leading up to the departure) so don’t book based solely on aircraft type.
Which route are you flying on??
However, after flying 3 times in UC on the neo (once in the retreat suites) and twice on A350, me and my partner prefer the neo.
Yes it has a privacy door, but that’s not the sole reason. For us, more space, more storage space, Bluetooth connectivity with wireless headphones to IFE, wireless charging and USB A & C charging ports.
For me the Neo is more comfortable, but the A350 is a great option. Much better than the old A330, and 787 Boeing….
So whether you pick Neo or A350, you will definitely enjoy UC on these

I would go with the NEO always over the 350.
Controversial view but I would prefer the 787 to the 350 as the bar is such a wonderful addition. The 350 has no soul especially the leisure route with a very cramp UC. The Loft part is a waste of space hardly anyone uses it.

I prefer the a350, the aircraft just fells bigger.

For the seat & bed - A339 (though the A333/B789 still absolutely wins hands down when in bed mode for comfort, flatness and width).
For the IFE screen size / outside cameras - A350. The A350 is horrible in bed mode as it’s not even flat.
If VS put the A350 IFE /screen size/ outdoor camera system onto the A339's that would be a winner for me.

Either is nice. Don’t book just because of ac type. They can change right up until the day of departure.
