Hello everyone!

Standard companion tickets will be ending 29th October, this will be the last chance to book.

Book a one-way or return ticket for yourself with cash or points, then contact the call centre and request to make a “standard companion ticket” for your fellow traveler.

You will only need to pay the taxes for your companion and approximately 50% of the points needed for a full ticket.

Example:

Upper class
LHR-MIA one way: 47,500 points for myself + taxes
LHR-MIA one way: 23,600 points for companion + taxes

Or

Upper Class
LHR - LAX, SFO-LHR: 135,00 points for myself + taxes
LHR - LAX, SFO-LHR: 67,400 points for companion + taxes

Be quick, to end 29th October!

Conditions:

Companion must fly on the same flights and in the same cabin.
So there must be reward availability

NB: you do not need a virgin atlantic credit card.
This is not a gold companion ticket either. This is a “standard companion ticket”
There just needs to be 2x reward availability on the same flight and cabin class. Take advantage to benefit a great saving of points before the changes on 30th October

That's a real shame that's ending. It hasn't been visible on the website for a while, but I've made use of this feature of Flying Club several times in the past, most recently last month.

If you google search for it, it does appear but yes, presuming not advertise it as much.

So I’ve managed to rebook all my three upcoming trips over the next year.
Saves a lot of points, which will now be needed…but means quite a few ecredits with delta. (I book cash bookings with delta as you can cancel / change online and get ecredits back) unlike Virgin.
Was saving my points for some special trips for big anniversary / birthday, but best to do this to get most out of points.

Advisor told me that any bookings made up until 30th October:
- Any changes will be honoured but dynamic pricing may mean higher points needed.
- Reward seat change / cancellation price is increasing, agent advise it will be around double so £60 per person.

Another advisor advise that multiple changes to the website coming due to the whole new set up; and hopefully in the future will be able to manage bookings all online instead of chat/call centre.
