No onboard duty free

Stepped onboard VS155 today only to find that all retail therapy magazines have been removed. At first I thought it was just mine, but nope. Virgin have temporarily stopped onboard duty free. This has been a thing since 1st of December or thereabouts and expected to continue until around April.

Crew rumour is the company who supplied VS has gone (or is nearly) bankrupt. There were issues with supply so virgin decided to stop preemptively. Apparently Easy Jet are affected too.

This is not official, but based on my experience today and crew rumours.

YMMV.

Wonder if this affects their MCO shop too. Although I’d imagine they’re separate businesses.

Presumably they have other retail outlets but Orlando is the only one I can picture the 3sixty branding.

41 retail stores. The full list can be found here as well as 13 airline partners.

On my flight back to Manchester in October the FSM made me aware VS were having issues. When the crew made my bed up there was chewing gum all over the seat. So they wanted to gift me something from duty-free unfortunate on both my flights my choices were unavailable.
