A350 switch to A333.

Have had a couple of flights booked for the summer man-las and jfk-man. Both have had a change from A350 (leisure config) to A333. Was wondering if anyone knows anything about this and might it be switched back to A350?

Aircraft swaps . Due to issues with Boeing 787 engines. Unlikely to change back since LAS was using business A350 config (44UC seats). Two of my flights (JFK, MIA) changed from Neo to 787 to A359 and back to Neo. I nearly chnaged my flights but glad I didn’t.

I know it is frustrating as A333, it’s about time VS retire the A333 and refit the 787.
Constant Russian roulette, A333,A339.A359,B787 = 4 different seats…

VS typically use the A330-300 at MAN for most flights. Last summer the LAS flight had low load factor of 61% so the A350 was just too big for the demand that was there. The up side to this change is VS have been rotating the A330 NEO onto MAN flights so if you're lucky you might get a NEO.

Sending the A333 on a long flight to somewhere like LAS will probably also mean at least 5 or 6 Upper Class seats will have be blocked for crew rest use as well as the A333's have no crew rest bunks.

Yes that's right they did it for MAN- LAX many years ago. They should really allocate a NEO to LAS flight.

You are correct James, I’m booked in UC on an August Man-Las flight and the first 5 seats don’t appear on the seat map, strangely though only on the return, outbound are all available.
Hope it’s changed to a Neo, I really don’t like the 330 uc seats.
