Hi
Does anyone know if I book a Virgin flight with a travel agent can I then use a CC upgrade voucher to move to upper class?
I am unsure what is and insnt possible anymore now Virgin has moved to dynamic pricing and made changes to the CC vouchers . Thanks

I did this recently on a Virgin holidays booking. I had to pay the full holiday invoice a bit early so they could ticket it. Then I called the Gold line and used two vouchers to upgrade from PE to Upper for myself plus my wife.
It was tricky to calculate the miles required but the vouchers were 150k each and the upgrade was 115k each I think.

Yes, I do this regularly.
From PE to UC per sector the points cost is the difference between whatever the standard PE redemption rate is and the current UC points cost.
The voucher is worth 150k for Silver & Gold.
So if you bought a PE return to JFK for £600 in standard season, and the current UC price for both sectors was 90k, they would convert your cash ticket into 17.5k + 17.5k and you’d need 72.5k + 72.5k to upgrade which the voucher would cover.
If the voucher doesn’t cover it you can use whatever points you need from your account.
