Not a good day for those onboard G-VPOP on today’s VS3 to JFK. Having gotten quite far west and presumably close to half-distance, it turned round and has not long landed in MAN.

Does anybody know what the reason for the diversion was?

Reported hydraulic issue. Was shown on webcam after landing having stopped on 27L and surrounded by ground vehicles but no medical vehicles.

There were a few livestreams that captured the landing. It was a pretty hard landing but it looked like there was no damage. It was towed out of runway 23L to a remote stand after an inspection. There wasn’t enough fuel for it to go to LHR.

Imagine flying all the way to American and having to turn around. Would be interested to see what happened to the passengers would of made for a good episode of airport that.
