Flying out of MIA soon on 10:30pm departure. Lounge expectations are low, but can anyone shed light on the possibility of getting a shower?

As per checking Virgin website and Delta website. You will have access to Delta Sky Club, South Terminal in the H&J connector (left of H Concourse).

This lounge is equipped with showers.

It’s open from 04.15am-21.30pm daily, so you will have time before closing for a shower if your flight departs at 22.30

Last few times I have flown MIA-LHR virgin have been using the Latam lounge rather than the Delta lounge. Sorry, can't remember if they have showers, but the food/drink options in Latam are way better than Delta.

Beating a "normal" Delta Sky Club [i.e. not a Delta One Lounge] food offer is not hard - anything on sale in the main terminal concourse will be better.
On our last return from MCO in June there was a close on 30min wait just to get into the Sky Club as Delta had quite a few delayed flights. They had sent a "lounge dragon" down to control entry and she really lover her job, not. They claimed priority entry for Delta One, but when you tried to point out to her that Upper Class & Delta One are essentially the same, she just looked at your boarding pass & said "not a Delta flight, back of line".
This was my / our worst experience of the Delta Sky Club MCO in 20yrs. Would not have minded, but when you did get up the hallowed stairs, the lounge was from at capacity - we could instantly count over 30 empty seats just from where we sat, many in groups of 2 or 3. (And we could see the number of people exiting the lounge from the queue - they were certainly not operating "1 out, 1 in - far from it).

It does look like VS have gone back to the DL SkyClub at MIA as the website mentions this. VS used the SkyClub before they switched to the LATAM lounge.
