Earned tier point + points inconsistencies

So my 4 recent flight have all posted to may FC account, however, there seem to be some inconsistencies which I've raised with Flying Club.

As Flying Club Gold, this was a single booking made via Air France with an 057 AF ticket number all on I fares was made up of the following flight legs:

LHR>LAX VS metal Upper Class (VS7, marketed/sold as the AF6756)
LAX>HNL DL metal Delta One (DL443 marketed/sold as the AF7922)
HNL>SEA DL metal First Class (DL440, marked/sold originally as the KL6837 but than it changed to the DL440 however my AF issued boarding pass does show a KL6837 flight number)
SEA>LHR VS metal Upper Class (VS106, marketed/sold as the KL4823)

Here's what FC have awarded me:

LHR>LAX = 26,179 points + 100 tier points
LAX>HNL = 12,254 points + 100 tier points
HNL>SEA = 12,854 points + 40 tier points
SEA>LHR = 15,338 points + 100 tier points

The 2 issues that stand out for me are the 40 tier points on the return HNL>SEA leg and the low points award on the final LHR>SEA leg?!?

VS have now updated their partner earned page which makes a bit more sense now. The 100 tier points earning is correct for both AF + KL I fares. It's only VS I fares that earn 200 tier points. I've no issues with that.

According to my calculations though (using the VS website earning table here using great circle mapper SEA>LHR is 4800 miles x 480% = 23,040 points.)

As a control, using same calculation for the LHR>LAX leg is 5456 miles x 480% = 26,188 which is almost the same amount VS awarded me. The other 2 DL legs also look pretty much correct as well.

Interestingly though the VS earn points calculator here also appears wrong for SEA>LHR as that also calculates 15,337 so the base calculation for Flying Club Gold member on a discounted Upper Class fare is incorrect.

I've raised this with Flying Club and they have sent the details to FC support. I will see what happens.

Should get sorted soon.
I flew back JFK-LHR with Delta in D1 in May. We are silver, but was only awarded base points (3,600 ish). Had to raise to FC who did the manual adjustment the following day.

Funnily enough, when our flight was cancelled last year LHR-BOS the evening before (reward seat), they had put us on LHR-JFK-BOS, and was awarded over 17,000 points for the JFK leg. They must have re-ticketed us in a high revenue fare code instead of G.

Thanks, I'll see what happens.

Another point to note is that VS have now updated their Flying Club call centre system. It now recognises your details from the number you call in from. It now just asks you to confirm you identity by entering you D.O.B.

Another interesting point is the way the tier points credit to your FC account first with a points balance of 0 then a few hours later the points balance updates to the correct amount.

The whole system seems a lot quicker now than it ever used to be. Sometimes you could be waiting nearly a week for VS flights to post. Now it's usually under 48Hrs. Delta flight transactions are the same too.

SEA>LHR leg points now corrected to 23,006. Sounds like the inconsistent tier point issue is casing a bit of head-scratching though as that’s still outstanding, however, I’ve had email today saying they have not forgotten about me.

Well, it's taken some persistence with sending boarding passes, e-tickets, booking confirmations and screenshotting VS website pages; but VS have finally adjusted my tier points for the HNL>SEA flight to 100.

It seemed to cause a lot of confusion at their end. Given that......what chance does the customer have to understand tier point earnings with SkyTeam ticketed partner airlines?

It's not like I'm chasing tier points that I'm not entitled to either; as by the end of Feb I will have earned >1000 tier points anyway and my FC account doesn't reset again until September! There just needs to be more consistency in how VS award tier points for Delta flights in particular.
