I wonder if anyone knows the secret way to get your FC number into the Air France system?

We have flights booked - when I did the booking I selected to receive FC points rather than Flying Blue, and it seemed to accept our numbers.

However, when I go back into teh system and the booking, it claims that neither of us has loyalty program details added, and when I try to add them it keeps stating that 'the frequent flyer number can't be found'. I even went on chat and had reassurances from someone that they had added it in, but it is still showing as none added.

If it helps I have tried on the website and the app, and you can't put VA or VS in front of the number either? Any advice would be appreciated as we only picked AF over Easyjet becuase of the points!

Had the same with KLM a few weeks ago in the end my number was definitely present. Unsure if they use the same systems but I would assume so due to their affiliation so if the rep over the chat confirms it is present then roll with it and hopefully if all is in order you will see it on your boarding pass when you check-in online.

AF has always been a bit of a struggle getting your FC number on bookings. My FC number showed up straight away after I booked online with AF in Jan this year for my HNL trip, however, I did notice once my FC number was on the booking, it wouldn’t let me change it. My FC number also correctly filtered through to both the VS and DL PNR’s this booking created.

Have you tried the KLM manage booking website or a different browser? The AF app is not good as it just opens mobile web browser pages anyway when it comes to managing bookings.

I also booked an AF flex fare and it was very temperamental in letting me make changes (which I managed one time). Most of the time the website kept coming up saying my fare was not one that could be changed (being a flex fare; that was not the case). Online chat agents also said they could see it was a flex fare and said the website often does that!

I believe the best option is calling. The few times I've used AF online chat though, they have been very good though as after making a change to my flights, the booking got stuck at the payment stage (as my new fare was slightly higher in price) and after chatting about it the agent sent me a manual payment link and the booking change went though and was updated.

AF use the Amadeus booking platform which has always been notoriously bad when it comes to entering FF numbers and making changes.

So I called up and received assurances that it was all done. Have looked to day and they have added my Daughter's FC number against my name and her details still show as no loyalty program added!

I've tried using the KLM site to fix it but still no joy.

The person I spoke to did say if all else fails try to get it fixed at check and otherwise just to do a miles claim after the flights!
