V-Flyer

Hi - has there been any changes of note in the past few months to the clubhouse? I was last through there in mid November and don’t recall seeing anything of significance. Just wondering has that change since. Heading to LAX on Saturday so will see for myself then I guess!

The only thing I noticed when I was in there the other week was new furniture around the big screen area and that annoying long game table thing (which replaced the even more annoying pool table) has been removed from the loft leaving it nice and peaceful again up there .

Nothing else looked any different. I believe it was only ever going to be a soft refurbishment anyway (which is being done gradually overnight).

I miss the pool table.

The whole gallery area is currently closed off for refurbishment, not sure how long that part will take.

They've put in a new carpet in the big screen area, as well as new carpeting. In the corner of this area they've put in two booths with closing doors for people to do work undisturbed. The small room with the glass door in this area. is currently being remodelled to become a 'VIP room'.

They've reupholstered the seating in the fireplace area.

Currently the gallery area is closed off for refurbishment.

Thanks all! I will take a look on Saturday and report back. The VIP area is interesting - seems a new think like what they have done in the LAX lounge. Unless they also have it on other clubhouses?

The JFK Clubhouse also has a VIP area, though I’ve never seen it used. They also have an annoying habit of putting reserved signs on other tables at JFK

I was at the JFK CH in November and was strolling around and attempted to walk into the curtained off “VIP area”, which is just normal seating with a partition, the CH manager swiftly came over to ask if I was looking for something! Am doing LHR>JFK end Jan so keen to see the LHR CH improvements. On the prior posts, it mentions the gallery area, is that the loft space just before the garden or somewhere else? On the removal of the shuffle board, that was a particular highlight for my daughter last summer so interested to see what they put there instead for the teen-age flyers…

Personally the removal of the Peloton’s was a big disappointment for me

The gallery area is the section along the windows behind the bar.
