Hello

From memory you only have to show the silver card to check in at the premier economy desk. (when flying economy).

What happens then if you still have the silver card and are really a red??

would they check? turn you back to the economy check in queue?

just out of intrested anyone tried this. ...

he he he :D;)

Your FC card is normally checked by the person doing the initial security screening at the entrance to the PE or UC check-in areas, they do not have access to a screen at that point to check validity but remember the date of expiry is on the card so you could get caught out.

Also, the check in staff will be able to tell from their screen that you aren't silver.

It is worth the risk [?]

Your call, but......if the economy queue is snaking all the way round the terminal [}:)][}:)]

I think if you just lost silver it might be worth the chance?

at the end of the day they will see your a FF and I doubt will refuse check in.

but if economy is quiet you may as well use that?

just my $0.02

Define only just lost Silver! When you go down a tier, you have a month's grace anyway just to show you what you are missing, eg.

I had to have 30 TP's by the end of October to requalify for FC Au, yet my card was valid to the end of Nov. Anyway, I just made it :)

Otherwise I will be brutual and say go and use the line that you are entitled to - I have grown tired of the Securicor agents at the front of W and J check in not doing their jobs properly, they have a laminated card that tells that who can use the facilities and Silver cards now have the expiry date embossed (unlike the year they decided to print on the back!). Securicor were sent a strong reminder to check all entitlement correctly a few months ago after I and a few others complained about the number of inelligble people that were using the W/J check-in.

Thanks,
Richard

I've checked in at 6:30am gone to work (in the city) and gone back to LHR to get the last NY flight!

Technically you shouldnt leave the airport as if you were delayed getting back you could delay the flight etc but in reality you'll be fine..
