Evening fellow forum members,

I'm a sophisticated chap with a lot of charm but not much dough.

I am travelling in Economy from LHR to LAX in May. I suspect that upper class passengers may get a bit lonely on this particular flight and I am happy to join them, if only to make up the numbers.

I have a few ideas as regard to my specific approach although I would welcome any tips from the more experienced fare blaggers amongst you.

Well, start by reading the upgrade guide on this site; but unless you've got a VS Gold Card, don't hold your breath. Especially Economy to Upper - that's a bit of a jump even for a card carrying blagger.

May I suggest a Lottery ticket purchase at the airport?

You may find you have better odds with that.....
