For those that jump straight to the forums;), you may have missed a slew of news stories from Virgin Atlantic recently (these now appear on the homepage on the main V-Flyer site).
Recent items include a cocktail service for Upper Class, the Virgin Blue Code share, Branson's announcement on Virgin Atlantic growth and designer sickbags(!). I've also got a couple more stories that need to go up today too, just waiting on images to accompany the stories.
No doubt there will be even more news over the coming days as Branson has so much press attention on him in Australia.

Actually, I was just thinking about this today - how about an email subscription service so that news updates are automatically sent to those that want them? [i]

Oh, and I know this isn't the website suggestions forum [:I], but it'd be great if the news items could have the published date on them too

Interestingly enough a search on Google News for 'Virgin Atlantic' brought up this v-flyer news story.
Pretty smart Google.

I'm using the feed for topics - perhaps a feed for news?

And for those of us that don't use RSS just yet?

For Mac OS X users I can recommend Pulp Fiction
http://freshlysqueezedsoftware.com/prod ... lpfiction/ and for "PeeCee" people, take a look at News Desk
http://www.wildgrape.net/Or, just use Firefox and that'll handle it all for ya.

So that's a no to the email subscription then?

The trouble with subscriptions is it only takes one person to 'forget' they subscribed, or have some auto-spam reporting software, and the whole site could be taken down while it is investigated. Bit too risky, even if it would be a cool feature and didn't actually involve any spam.
At least with RSS feeds, you get access to a whole load of site content without any spam issues. Current list is at

I'll second Pulp Fiction (installed it earlier in the evening), easy to use, looks like Apple Mail too - will have a go at News Desk over the weekend when I have mustered the strength to use Windows......

Hi Pix,
Another way Mac OS X users can get RSS feeds is from right within their web browser by using Firefox. It has RSS support built in:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/Also, the next major revision of Apple's Safari browser will have RSS support:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/safari.html
