Airbus are being cautious about releasing the reasons for the anticipated delay, I wonder if they have resolved the overweight issue or if that is part of the reason?

Apparently Qantas and Emirates are still expecting their 380 deliveries to begin in October '06.

Well, SIA now seem to be looking on the bright side, according to
The Australian"It may be more than a month," one source said. "But we're not looking - as far as I know, at this point, anyway - at it being multiple months."

Becky, I am not knocking the aircraft, in fact I am a fan and may even grow to love it as much as the 747-400. I can't wait to fly her.
I only raise the weight issue as it was stated to be an area of concern some little while back and I was curious if that particular problem had been overcome [?]

Friends [:X]
So hubby says all the worries about her weight have been resolved, that is good news [y]
Is he also able to confirm whether or not there are expected to be delays to the published delivery schedules or is that still confidential?

hi bazz, ste ( hubby ) said to tell you that he expects the launch customer to be on time, not sure about other customers but does know virgin have cut back 18 months blaming seating interior designers. he said also to tell you airbus at Broughton where he works are now working MSN 14 wing set and are still building to original programme.
