Hi All
Just arrived back on VS004 this morning from JFK. (Another excellent flight).
There was an announcement made during the flight that as Virgin were upgrading their 'Retail Therapy' service, they could no longer take pre-orders for flights returning after the 30th April,[:(], flights up to then are OK.
They did not give a specific date when the service would resume.
Just thought some of you would like to know in advance, and make alternative arrangements.
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, I did have a quick look through but could not see anything mentioned, but I do have a lot of posts to catch up on after my trip!

James - if "soon" means the "soon" they've been telling me since the middle of last year, then probably

The Duty Free Collection is being updated - new brochure is due out if I recall in May.
No whopefully then they should have some new plane models, and the playing cards.....
Thanks,
Richard

I got G-VROY 'Pretty Woman' and G- VOGE 'Cover Girl' on this trip. They are the first ones that I have purchased and the quality of them is excellent. The playing cards were still out of stock though. They said it was due to printing problems!!

Perhaps you're right James. We've all been told for ages that on-line ordering would be launched 'soon', so perhaps finally they're going ahead with it!

If so, methinks we'll need a good degree of integration with VF

No such announcment on my flight last night (VS046). That said I didn't pre-order, or even order, anything. Was too busy trying to sleep so I could go straight into work this morning... I failed [:I]

Declan
Will the new company be offering on-line pre-ordering? That'd be a great bonus

Cheers

i called VS pre order before my Tokyo trip to order those elusive playing cards and was told they had been out of stock for some time and that probably wouldn't be in new brochure!!! [:(] which in a way doesn't make much sense if there that popular!!!

Hi arfortune
You can place a pre-order on your outward flight, to be picked up on your return flight or you can pre-order your duty free by calling Virgin on 0870 190 3003. (I think this is the right number as they were on about changing firms that they use!)
Don't forget to quote your FC number, as you get 10 miles per £ spent.
Richard.
