Interesting question.

Naturally The T&Cs are the ultimate arbiter but

In the section on Spending Miles we have "4.1.12 Members shall not sell or auction free tickets or miles in any circumstance." which needs to be considered in conjunction with "4.1.10 We will issue any reward to a third party at your request, but once issued, rewards are not transferable. "

So bottom line is - you can use companion tickets for other people BUT they are free tickets and therefore subject to 4.1.12. Any black market would therefore possibly lead to cancellation of your Flying Club account. Of course if a close friend wanted to buy you something for your generosity in letting them use the tickets that's another matter that cannot easily be legislated for.

Agree with Decker. The other thing to consider is that with the credit card - even though it is referred to as a 'companion voucher' there is no physical piece of paper, it is merely a note on your FC account that you are entitled to use one.

All third party arrangements would have to be done by the account holder, which could lead to problems.

And of course it's a companion ticket - which means its valid only with a corresponding booking made by you (ie. you have to fly + 1 guest, on he smae flight, same class etc).

Erm no... the revenue ticket can be issued in somebody else's name AND upgraded to the next class of service with miles.

But this makes you very unpopular with your companion[B)]:D
