Anyone had cause to use the global assistance service that Travelex provide on behalf of VS to gold card holders? Good, bad or indifferent?

Yup. I used them (ironically, in London) to try and get them some tickets for a show, last minute, when some American friends were in town.

I didn't set them a cash limit, just asked them to try and get them. They couldn't. First and only experience of them (and I got the tickets later on myself)
