Just tried to book UCS for next Oct and have been told by Delta that VA have withdrawn from the SkyMiles prog here in the USA, so no more free UCS for me ! Anyone else hear this ?

This is true, however it was DL that broke off the partnership due to their Chapter 11 situation. So DL customers can no longer redeem SkyMiles for VS reward inventory, but VS customr can continue to redeem mileage for DL flights (as obviously there is revenue generated there).

Thanks,
Richard

Thanks,
Just to be clear:
Mile earned on DL can still be logged to VS?

I believe so, and the FC pages still indicate such! I have one just credited for Nov 02 (BOS - SFO) but not the return yet (SFO - JFK). I guess I'll be chasing that one down!

Daveos1:

I have over 500k Skymiles and trying to use them up before Delta fools with the program now they've gone Chapter 11. In an e-mail sent to me yesterday they state-
Travel using SkyMiles on Virgin Atlantic will end as of July 28, 2006. In order to use your SkyMiles for travel on Virgin Atlantic, please be sure to book your travel by January 28, 2006, and complete all flights before July 28, 2006. SkyMiles award travel on Virgin Atlantic does not have any blackout dates at this time.

Living close to Atlanta, one rumor I've herd was Delta and Northwest, who also has gone Ch. 11, are considering joining forces. What ever that means.

Yeah, but don't two negatives make a positive?

(In a weird mathematical sense, anyway - I seem to remember something weird about that from school).

Wow - maybe I've just come up with the solution to Ch.11?![:?]

Not in addition - only if you multiply them, or subtract a larger negative from a smaller one [|:)]

Cheers

Hmm. Windows Calculator : -10 minus -10 = 0... [y]

I know it's flawed, but please don't shatter my illusions. (I'm still up for splitting 10's [:p])

True, but we were talking positives, and 0 is neither positive nor negative ;)

-10 - -11 = +1
-10 - -9 = -1
-10 + -9 = -19
-10 x -9 = +90

I know it's flawed, but please don't shatter my illusions. (I'm still up for splitting 10's [:p])

Ah yes, forever hereafter known as the Rule of Reiffer :D:D

Cheers

As in "there are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't"?

No the rule's of Reiffer are:

#1 check for small white crystals on the bud, the more the better
#2 If there's what looks like little strings of whatever color (usually purple or orange) then it's good
#3 If you smell the ganja and whatever the smell is is very strong, then it's good
#4 If there's any stems or seeds in whatever you buy, you should check to see if the guy that's selling it an amatuer.

ROTFLMFAO,i've been waiting to post that for I dont know how long, man I need a life
