Advice required for LHR - JFK (VS003 - VS004)

Hello everyone!

Im new to this forum, ive had a look via the search facility but couldn't find much help so apologies if its been covered!

Basically im flying economy to New York from London in March (Flights VS003 and VS004) and was wondering what seats I should choose? I was going to go for row 55 but its quite far back and am a bit worried about the time it will take to get through customs.

So i was thinking for going for the rows over the wings as they will get food/drink quickly etc, but is this actually a good place to sit or not ?

Any help will be really appreciated

Cheers, Wayne

Hi, Wayne, and welcome to v-flyer. The seating plans which you'll find here will give you an idea of the best seats. When I'm travelling in Economy I generally go for the (relative) comfort at the back, in the knowledge that it will slow me down on departure but, really, it's a matter of personal preference.

Anyway, have a scout around the site, because you'll find plenty to whet your appetite for the trip to NY. I'm on VS3 with my daughter in January, and might yet write my first TR, so there's something to look forward to! [^]

Best wishes

David

And, sorry, VS3 is normally a 747-400 (LHR Suites) so, when you follow the link above just click the appropriate button for the right seating and ratings page.

David

Edited due to an inability to get the information right even second time around [:o)]

Thanks David, much appreciated. I dont normally worry about the seats etc but when im going to be on a plan for 6-8 hours i would hate to be in an uncomfortable seat.

Although I guess that economy seats will be pretty poor anyway!

bezza,

Admittedly, the VS seat in Y is not the best in the world but neither is it the worst. I'm sure you'll be fine.:)
