fuel surcharge reduction

So it's been reduced - but only if you bought your ticket 21st November or afterwards.... seems a bit mean. I bought some flights a couple of weeks before that (for next May, wouldn't usually dream of booking so far ahead, but that's another story) - which in effect means VS has my (considerable amount of ) dosh several months before I fly. Presumably, interest will be made on that, but no consideration for surcharge reduction.

Am I bitter and twisted?????

Or just saddened by what appears to be yet more profiteering....[?]

I'm afraid it's a case of you pay what the fare & charges are at the time of booking. Think of it this way: ok, they have your "extra" fiver (as it is now) because you booked before the charge was reduced - but likewise you won't get stung for another £5 if they stick the fuel charge back up by a tenner from the current rates in Feb...

This topic was also very recently discussed here by the way - so, I'm going to lock this one to avoid duplication.

Cheers
