Ok, what does virgin have to do with this if it isnt even really their airline. (all they have is branding rights and SRB has a small stake) Is this why they don't mention it on virgin's website?

antcomp,
This post contains links to the major stories concerning VS' minority stake in VS-America. VS-America will provide Virgin Atlantic and SRB with a logical US-based marketing alliance and, if the carrier is successful, yet another extension of the Virgin brand.

In addition to what Chuck said, let me also mention that Virgin Nigeria, Virgin Blue, and Virgin Express are not mentioned on VS's website either. They are however mentioned on the Virgin Family's website. This pretty much explains it. VS is not the owning brand of Virgin, it is merely an offshoot like every other brand. I would expect Virgin America to show up once it gets its plans settled. And let's not forget that it still needs to get through the dilemma of DOT permission (See other threads).
