Hi Rainbow,
There is no IFBT service on the MAN routes I'm afraid.

Sorry rainbow, there's no IFBT on MAN or LGW flights. Not flown VS from MAN for several years now, so no idea about the lounge.

A classic case for how Virgin should spend some money - on standardising the service. It's all very well if you read the papers and see big ads saying what BA doesn't have ... then get on a Virgin flight that doesn't have them either!
Ooops sounds to moaney ... [:I]

Rainbow,
A quick
search for the word "Escape" or a check in the
Manchester forum will reveal quite a few recent posts on the subject, including
this one.

The reason we went for UC from MAN was due to the press and Virgins website. I suppose people will say do your homework, but I was naive
enough to believe the hype (had booked before finding V-flyer). I have read the same double page spread that was in the Times yesterday saying how BA hasn`t got this or that. I take it the Virgin marketing dept will have been very careful in steering clear of the Trades description act, but this certainly smacks of violating it. No doubt there is a minute sentance somewhere in the adverts saying this only applies to LHR. As I have said in other postings, this is our first stray away from Delta/American/BA. I have really enjoyed reading the very enthusiastic and informative comments on this excellent website and I understand how you feel about the Virgin brand, but I think Virgin should take a look at how they communicate to their customers as they seem very economical with the truth.
Having said all this, we are the type that will make the best of any situation but it does leave a bad taste when we hear that the Lounge,IFE and now the beauty therapist is lower standard or not available at all. I had used the fact that my wife could have a manicure as a sweetner for booking UC. Looks like I will have to do it myself and take lessons between now and April. Does anyone know what a cuticle is? Do I rub it on or paint it? [:?]
