Another PE 747 seat question

Sorry for another annoying seat question. I've reserved seat 74C for both my flights, I'm happy with the choice outbound, as I can get up easily, don't annoy anyone behind me and I was first off the plane last time so got out of Newark very quickly.

Anywho, on the way back, I'm pondering 74A (unless I can get row 70) as it may allow me to sleep a bit more, but my question is, with the shape of the airframe and the locker, is it possible to lean against the window side as I try and sleep, or should I stick with 74C?

Hope that makes sense!

TIA.

From memory, I think there's about a 6-9" gap between the seat and the wall on the upstairs PE seats.

The pillow should bridge that though...

I think you should be able to lean on the window maybe. If you lie at angle to the seat, then you probably can, although your legs may "invade" your seat-mate's space, so it depends how friendly you are with them!;)
Also, you may need to visit a chiropractor after achieveing this feat. However, I think it would be far more comfortable to stay in the seat you're in and just lie back in the chair.

Cheers,

I have slept (well, been in an alcohol induced coma) with my head against the window in PE. Had a real bad neck ache when i woke up but it can be done! The best thing to do is steal your mates pillow and use that with your own to plug the gap! Nice and comfy!!

Yes there is a gap - I still think that 74C is the better choice as its easier to get out of to go to the loo and you have the handy side table for drinks etc - however - if you get to check in early enough its always a good idea to go for the exit seats because then you have lots of stretch room and the exit door to lean on.

I think Sarah has a picture of her in that exact seat ( along with her handbag!!!)
