I have heard many people saying upper is cool but premium and economy is poor.

What improvements would you like to see for VS W and Y class? Oh. Remember to say on which aircraft so we all know.

I think this topic has been done to death in the past, especially here.

Thread not locked as old thread is a few months old, and maybe some people want a new debate [8D];)

Dear All,

As all of u are aware that there are the new W and Y seats on trial called Echo and Alpha.

Since this forum is full of Virgin lovers, flying club members, staff, etc.. would it help if we put something together (reasonable ones) and send it off to Virgin for them to see what 'WE' really want? .... before they really change new seats which might have a chance of being worse than before.

I would say... for W class

Table surface too slippery.

Leg room can increase from 38 inche to 40 inches. As Thai and some other carriers like NZ will have 40 inches.

The PTV. It drives me crazy when people recline in front of me. The TV cannot be pulled up further and the screen is totally blanked out due to light distortion/reflection.

The legrest can go abit higher.

For some routes, since it is W, they should consider 25kg allowance!

Quite happy with Y meal and amenity kit.

For Y,

Definitely the seat pitch and width! Some carriers offer 32-34 inches! I believe 32 inches are more acceptable.

Thicker padding

Oh yes [^]

Also - how about a PE seats where you can get the arms up. It's annoying when PE is half empty and you can't take advantage of the extra space as you can in Y.

What is needed is a benchmarking excersise against the competitors in each class and I am sorry to say this has to include some of the charter airlines who have caught up and in some cases passed VS.

I am sure that VS have done this, but seem not to be taking any notice of the results? If its down to price competativeness, then there would have not been an increase in W seats on certain routes.

I think we all started with VS due to their perceived difference to other airlines, their innovation etc, but that now seems to have been costed out [:(!]
