Have tried to do a search on Palm Springs and although I got quite a few results there wasn't much about the different hotels. Anyone have any opinions as to the best hotel? Cost isn't that important - I've already blown the budget on the rest of the trip - so I might as well carry on[:I]

Oh dear! I must admit - have been searching online for ages now and nothing has particularly appealed to me. Maybe I should look somewhere else - I just want somewhere with a really nice hotel to relax for a few days after a hectic trip.

lilyjosh0,
There are some nice properties in and around Palm Springs, and plenty to do if you want activities. But first, what's your budget and when do you plan to travel?

Chuck, we are travelling last week in March and first two weeks in April. We are flying in and out of SFO and will be spending a few days in Las Vegas and probably one or two nights in LA. Haven't booked anything apart from the flights yet so we are flexible on where we go and when. We will probably stay at the Ritz-Carlton in SFO and the Bellagio or Four Seasons in Vegas so that is the sort of budget involved.
Jetwet, thanks - I'll look at Lake Las Vegas.

Hi,
I went to dinner at the Marriott Desert Springs ( huge resort and beautiful grounds) dinner was very good also with a choice of restaurants
https://marriott.com/property/propertypage/CTDCA( we satyed at the Shadow Ridge Vacation club also very nice but limited facilites);ie no full scale restaurant ( only limited in the gold shop area)
https://marriott.com/property/propertypage/CTDSRIf you are into Hilton then the hilton Palm springs is quite nice and close to Palm Springs ( also there is a Hilton Garden Inn close by as well as an Embassy suites ( a little dated)
Enjoy!
Regards

Jetwet1, thanks for the suggestion of Lake Las Vegas - have now booked a few nights there to finish off our hectic trip - it looks great and has really good reviews on tripadvisor.
