Hmm - only about a 10kt crosswind, too, by the look of the windsock... [:?]

Look at the wind sock. Direct cross wind!

Yeah, direct - but not strong Ben... I'm sure the 777 has a much greater max. demonstrated than 10kt [:0]
(unless it was a gust...)

well if anything the wind may of dropped just as it was touching down or it would be leaning the other way.

Maybe just a bad landing cause by a gust. But side loading a landing gear is never a good idea.

LOL Not good!!
Reminds me of some of thr landings ive had where the pilot assures you that its ok to straighten up while landing. When i was taking flying lessons my instructor demonstrated the art of not checking cross winds properly while making a sidewards landing. Needless to say, it scared the wits out of me!! Theres something not right about coming towards the ground at an angle!

Firstly, some people call me an 'IT geek', but that comment surely must class you as a 'Wind geek'?:D:D
A commercial pilot once told me that a one wheel before the other landing was the 'best' way to do it. Maybe he just wasn't too hot on landings.
