Looks like, amongst other things, we'll all now have to remove lap-tops from bags at LHR as they need to be screened separately (as per US security)

It appears not only to be Heathrow that's implimenting these extra checks. I was stopped at the top of the jetway at Gatwick prior to boarding VS 027 recently for secondary screening.

It's the 1st time since I travelled to Israel in the early 90's that I've been asked to remove the battery from my laptop, replace it, then power it up.

Can't remember any secondary screening when I flew out in November.

*Cough* , so TLTAD I'm afraid
