Leaking Seals

Not sure which forum to put this on.
A few years ago, Airbus had problems with the ducting that carries blead air from the engine to de-ice the wings and heat the cabin. The ducting has seals at the joints and if the seal leaked, hot air blew against the fire wire in the wing and triggered a fire alarm in the cockpit. This caused false fire alarms. One example was a taxiing aircraft in Singapore had to return to the terminal and the passengers had to be put up overnight in hotels while the false alarm was checked out. This appeared to be quite common back then and was deemed a "safe" fault as there was no danger but could have expensive repercussions if it happened. The same seals were installed on Boeing aircraft as well.
Does anyone know if they got a permanent fix?
