Mrs B has to travel to India in a couple of weeks and although we tried to get her on VS, Jet Airways was coming back with some very cheap business fares.
Trouble is we have checked out their website and they do not have any pictures or stats. One of her colleagues has flown them and says they are very good, but do any of you have any thought, details or comparisons to VS?

I remember one particular member of the site used to rave about them compared to VS. Not been around for a while though. [:w]
All joking aside,
skytrax have a few opinions on them.

oh wow - gotta love this review from that site on 22nd October!
One problem that they need to address is the availability of life jackets in case of emergency water landing. The business class passengers have the life jacket to wear. The economy passengers have no life jackets but will have to use only the seat cushion to float. In effect, a business class passenger wearing a life jacket will have his hands free and so can swim away to safety. The poor (in all senses!) economy passenger will have to hold fast to the cushion so he floats but can not swim away as quickly since he will find his hands occupied in holding the cushion. So essentially a business class passenger has a better chance to survive than an economy passenger. Why this discrimination? Why not provide also the economy passengers a life jacket under the seat?
So, at least you get a life jacket in business [y][:0]

Actually, the floatation seat cushions have elastic straps on the back.
You put your arms through the elastic straps, so you don't have to "hold on" to the floatation cushion.
But, the whole thing is moot, since as discussed elsewhere on the forum, the chances of surviving a ditching are pretty remote - indeed, you've probably more chance of surviving a ditching than being in one in the first place.
You'll probably find that the floatation cushions are only on the domestic aircraft - like most US domestic carriers, they will only have lifejackets on "overwater" certified aircraft.
We forget that by living on an island, almost all our commercial aircraft have to be "overwater" capable.
Oh, and I heard Jet Airways were very good from a friend who has been doing a lot of business in India recently. Lots of new or refurbished aircraft.
Cheers,
Mike

Guaranteed a pretty good flight with Jet. The a/c all have AVOD and are on lease from SAA whilst they await the arrival of their 777s.
A quick search of the Trip Reports shows a report from Feb
