Going to Vegas in November, primarily for a conference (at the Sands Expo) for 4 nights. Taking Mrs McCoy, who will want to be shopping whilst I am occupied..

I have a list of rates for hotels, at special rates for attending the conference:- examples (all double room ex tax, pn) are..

Aladdin - $165
Flamingo - $126
Hilton - $129
Luxor - $119
MGM - $179
Mirage - $219
Venetial - $228
Wynn - $265

Don't care about a big room; would prefer good service. Central location too.. ie. easy for me to get to the Sands Expo, and easy for the missus to get to.. errr.. shops. :)

Im pretty sure there are others ( jetwet) who can give better advice than me - however on the few visits I have had to Vegas I woudl personally choose the Venetian - I think it is an excellent hotel with suites, in he middle of the strip and has - according to Anthony Bourdain - one of the best restaurants in town which is called Bouchon -and is a part of Thomas Keller's ( French Laundry, Per se) group.

Havent stayed at all these but have a good idea of where they are!!

Given your criteria, I would say the Venetian.

Thanks,

Yes, from your list the Venetian. The Caesar's shopping arcade is virtually over the road, the fashion mall in walking distance, as are the major 'free' sites in the evening.

October is a nice time to go.
