US Air - third party Trip Report
Posted: 01 Jun 2006, 12:22A good friend of mine has just got back from Philadelphia where he went to watch Lacrosse of all things - I think he had a few beers too!!
Hes just been telling me of the fun and games and really poor service he had with US Air flying from Philly to MAN.
The check in staff were just not interested in doing their job and whilst they were in a group of 6 and had prebooked seats they were moved to different seats - even though when they got on board they found the aircraft was not full - so they all moved.
The aircraft taxiied out from the stand and then they waited for 2 hours - at which point the captain said they would have to go back to the termnal for more fuel - good eh?[:(!]
They were told that the delay was caused by bad turbulence in the New England area - what?[V]
On board the meal service was terrible with there being no coffee service and no second drinks run!! Apparently at one point no staff coud be seen at all!!
The flight was £500 return and a couple of his travelling companions told him that thsi was pretty much the norm!!
Now whilst this wasnt me travelling I think that sometimes when you hear things like this it just shows how godd te Virgin product actually is - thats why TR's for other airlines are always worth a look too!
