Fancy doing this when we go in September - I have had a bit of a surf to see whats out there but didnt come up with anything that looked wonderful - to be honest everything was a bit "samey"
We are driving up from the Keys and the round to the Gulf Coast - so has anyone got any tips on which air boats to try - where they go from, and any other general helpful info on the Everglades.
I have looked at a map to see the locations - so any advice would be useful.

Have used these air boats many years ago and it was great fun. Just one tip take plenty of mossy spray, the insects in the everglades are as big as horses.

I can't remember which company we used but whoever you go with they're all bound to be the same - just pick whoever has the best website or something!!!
It's absolutely brilliant though, i laughed the whole way through - not that i could hear myself because of the noise of the huge fan!

We drove (do you drive one of those things???) one ourselves a few years ago. It wasn't along the Keys, but near Orlando - somewhere around Boggy Creek, methinks. It was hilarious - really good fun!:)

If your driving from the keys to the Gulf Coast, you should stop at Everglade City. There are a number of different companies in the town. I went with Speedy Johnsons. I had a great time.

Uncanny. Hope you have fun. Everglade City is really easy to find, just off of the 41.
Where are you staying on the Gulf Coast?

Haven't made any bookings for anything - got a couple of nights which we thought we would sort out when we were in the area - unless you got any recommendations...?

Naples is really nice, as is Marco Island. They are both conveniently located for Everglade City.
I stayed at La Playa in Naples and really liked it.
