I am flying BFS-EWR-BFS this week on CO BizFirst
I shall post a trip report.
I have flown this rouute once before, I found the service and food to be good. On the UK regional routes a 757 international config plane is used and the cabin is just ok. I'm not sure what is operated to LGW.

Hi Amanda,I have flown biz first a few times and have to say I love it.
The seat is a kind of a flat seat thing, almost flat, but at about 170 degree's.The food is very good,CO use their own kitchen's out of EWR and the food is [y].If you like steak's go for the rib eye.

HI there
Have flown CO BizFirst quite a few times over the years and always of a consistently high standard - especially the quality of the food and also the cabin crew - have always found them to be very helpful and not as hit and miss as it can be with Virgin.
Seat is fine - not in the same league as the new Virgin UCS - and nice if you manage to get one with nobody next to you.
You could do a lot worse!
Hope you enjoy what I think is one of the better US carriers

Thoroughly agree, always high standards, never been hit and miss whenever we have flown. Downside is no bed, but hey it's only about six hours and the meal can last a good part of that if you want it to.

Thanks very much you guys.
It all seems to be very positive, especially regarding the food.On that basis I won't stuff my face too much in the lounge before hand[:p] Jetwet,I will definitely be going for the steak, thanks for the tip.
The majority of our trips have been in PE. However, having flown UC once last year, I found the food to be of reasonable quality, it will be interesting to do a comparision.
Pianoperson, seat sounds comfortable, shame MrG will be sitting next to me[}:)]
I think Continental may operate 777s on the EWR-LGW route, but not entirely sure?

I have posted this flight on the itineries forum. I'm also flying VS19, UC on the 28th of August, so hopefully will be able to make a good comparision for my trip reports.
Thanks for the stats Preiffer, I'm sure the 757-200 will be just fine:D

Well the 752 is a whole different beast, not wanting to put a downer on your trip, but see if you can switch flights, the 752 biz first product is shall we say...c%$p...the service is still there, but you get US domestic first seats which are nothing to write home about.

I am really surprised that CO is flying 757s into LGW, I thought that was 777s only? Represents a severe diminishing of the standard to me ...

The international 757 has the same seats as the 767 with cradle seats which are very comfy and the service on their 757 is very good. The schedule is for 757 however they tend to get very busy and could well be changed to the 767 that normally operates when they just do twice daily.

We have a connecting flight from BDA with Continental. The VS3128 was the best flight for us from a timings point of view and we live fairly close to Gatwick also. Still, I shall be interested to if the overall product matches up to Virgin[:?]
