I was wondering in England if they have the same electric sockets as the US?

No we have 3 pinned sockets and more powerful voltage which is crap for us when we go to the US as hair dryers and hair straighteners work only half as well, and when you've got a mane like mine that is a BIG problem.

Easiest thing to do if you travel a fair bit to the USUK is to buy a set of what you need in the USUK - hairdryer, tongs, straighteners etc - thay are all reasonably cheap - and then when you go you take them with you and voila!! - no probs![^]

Alternative is to get one plug converter and bring a 4 way socket etc with you, saves buying multiple plug converters so you can charge camera, mobile phone etc at the same time.

These can actually be dangerous if you plug so many things in at once - it's much safe to use a proper adaptor[B)]

True, but I've only ever got 2 or 3 things charging at once and usually disconnect when done. Still, you're right as it can be dangerous if the circuit you're plugging into isn't great.
