Dates to avoid

Tempted by the BD offer mentioned earlier. Just wondering if there any dates to avoid late July or August in Vegas?

Well if you look here, you can see a list of the major conventions on at certain times - can search by date and all that too :)

late aug start sept - holiday weekend - avoid if you looking for best room rates plus places are getting sold out already

Do the same things (conventions/holiday weekends) happen at the same time every year? We are doing Vegas next September (as recommended by a friend) but don't want to be paying over the top or for it to be mega busy!

Not sure about conventions etc.

I've done it the other way round before - i.e. trawled hotel websites for the best rates and then booked flights accordingly.
