Mileage from Newark to Phoenix?

Does anyone know how to find out the reported number of miles one would earn on the above flight. I may be taking a trip to Phoenix via Newark and am interested to know if the second part of the journey will be above or below 2000 miles.

I suspect it's below, but I wanted to find out for sure.

Thanks

Hi dunbarm,
From the New York metropolitan airports PHX is approximately 2,130 miles if flown nonstop.

Thanks Chuck

Is Newark counted as one of those airports because it is quite far away from JFK?

How did you find out that information, I want to be able to look it up myself in the future?

I remember reading somewhere that EWR is actually closer to Manhattan than JFK is.

I managed to find this link which calculates mileage for you. Somebody else might find it useful one day.

Yea. The problem is getting a fair fare (pun) for a journey that includes sectors longer than 2,000 miles so you get the tier point in economy. DL normally works out as ATL to the West Coast is greater than 2,000 miles but CO tends to want people to connect in IAH.

I just want VAmerica to earn TPs and miles with VS. :) (on hands and knees; praying)

The other place to find out is my own site - the blue marble mapper (written for V-Flyer) will tell you the distance as well as draw the pretty map
