UK Passport Cost up by 29%

The cost of a UK passport is set to increase from £34 to £45 for a ten year adult passport. Apparently this will be the "most secure ever produced by the UK".

Surely this is just the same as other commodities increasing in price during the year, British Gas prices for example.And passports do last for 10 years, so that makes it £6.60 per year (or about 55p per month) per passport - not bad value surely

I'm about to renew mine anyway, and suggest anyone who can before October does so. Remember they will tack on up to 9 extra months if you renew early.
