I am flying PMO-LIN-LHR next month.
I have a 2 hour connection at LIN and am planning to do a bit of shopping and maybe have a nice meal.
Does anyone know what the facalities at LIN are like?
thanks in advance, tommy

Its an old airport and last time I was there they were poor!!
Everything now gets centered on Malpensa - which is about as close to Milan as Birmingham is to London!!!

Linate has a great pizza place best we have had in Italy! It is old and that was a few years ago. There were shops though.

Not a great "destination airport" it has to be said - but it is about as central as you can hope for in a city the size of Milan - only about five or so miles from the centre.
Not that that's any use when you're transiting through.
Certainly there are a few places to eat and shop but can't vouch for how good any of them are.
Apart from a few premium Euro-commuter early-in late-out flights that take advantage of the fact Linate is actually in Milan (unlike MXP), you do get the feeling it's being left a poor relation to its sister 60 miles north...
