Have booked the aboce hotel for my up coming trip to Shanghai and would like any information on this property if possible. I know about the bar on top but I believe there is a night club. Is it worth visiting for a drink - what are the rooms like ? - Many thanks - keith

No personal experience on this hotel, but if you look here then there are plenty of reviews and info, including some on a CLub King Room.

The Hyatt is part of the impressive Jin Mao tower in Pudong. It occupies the 53-87th floors of what is essentially an multi-use highrise. Pudong has a lot of building work going on at the minute but not close to the Jin Mao as far as I can recollect.

The views from the top are impressive especially at nightime. You get cracking views of the Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Huangpu river which are all lit very well. The only downside to the location is that you are quite a way from Nanjing road, Yu Yuan gardens and some of the shopping districts on the other side of the river.

I cannot offer any help on the restaurant or the rooms themselves. However, I cannot recall every hearing a bad word said about a Grand Hyatt...:D
